Principal’s Message

August 2021

Dear Jaguar Families,

Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year!  I am honored to enter into my first year as principal of Charles M. Johnson Elementary and look forward to serving our Jaguar community as we enter into another unique school year!

Prior to joining the Johnson Family,  I served as the Associate Principal of Jacob L. Adams Elementary and Greenwood Elementary.  I also had the privilege to serve as Resource Teacher at Glen Allen Elementary and classroom teacher at Highland Springs Elementary.  Before starting my career in Henrico, I taught 3rd and 5th grade in Dinwiddie County.

Our school theme this year is “Waves of Change,” focusing on the quality character component of our Henrico Learner Profile.  As we begin this school year, it is crucial that we focus on social emotional learning and prioritize positive relationships among all stakeholders.

Our staff, students, and families are resilient.  We are confident that our Jaguars will embrace the challenges ahead and grow into lifelong learners who are able to meet adversity head on as they turn obstacles into opportunities.

We are looking forward to a great school year!

Ms. Taylor
