Science week day 1! Monday Matters!! We learned about the 3 states of matter and changed our liquids into solids using ice and salt! These fourth graders had a blast making their own ice cream. Finally, we wrote the steps of how to make our ice cream while eating our creation 🍦

🥁 Our jaguars had a BLAST celebrating our end of quarter 2 accomplishments at our JAG JAM! We had so much fun playing minute to win it games, dance parties, and we even got to see JJ 🐆!!! The 4th graders recently visited the Virginia State Capitol and Valentine Museum! Our students had some much fun exploring and learning about the Capitol and Richmond during the Revolutionary War. Ms. Perkins is always building her relationships between her class, students, and the people around her. She is such an asset to our school community and we are so lucky to have her! Favorite thing about Johnson: “I love all the students here at school!” How long in education: “1 year in China, 2 years in kindergarten, and 6 years here at JES” Hobbies: “I love to travel!” Favorite thing to teach: “We are teaching the Revolutionary War right now and the students are really getting into learning all the ins and outs.
