Science week day 1! Monday Matters!! We learned about the 3 states of matter and changed our liquids into solids using ice and salt! These fourth graders had a blast making their own ice cream. Finally, we wrote the steps of how to make our ice cream while eating our creation 🍦

Over the month of February, students had the opportunity to learn and explore through contributions black americans have made to our society both historically and in the present time. The students discussed the triumphs and achievements of these individuals throughout the month!

Today in 4th we made a model of the moon phases using our head as the earth! We were able to see the different amount of light reflected from the sun.

🥁 Our jaguars had a BLAST celebrating our end of quarter 2 accomplishments at our JAG JAM! We had so much fun playing minute to win it games, dance parties, and we even got to see JJ 🐆!!! The 4th graders recently visited the Virginia State Capitol and Valentine Museum! Our students had some much fun exploring and learning about the Capitol and Richmond during the Revolutionary War. Favorite thing to teach: “We are teaching the Revolutionary War right now and the students are really getting into learning all the ins and outs. We are working through different scenarios with Parliament and the King and learning how taxation worked and why the Colonists were fighting against it!”
